Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Perform North and the parent(s)/guardian(s) of any child or young person participating in our classes, coaching, workshops, productions, projects, performances, intensives or agency services.
By registering with Perform North, you agree to the following terms.
1. Registration & Participation
1.1 Participants must fall within the age range specified for each class, programme or project.
1.2 Enrolment is subject to availability and confirmation by Perform North.
1.3 Any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, behavioural needs or additional support requirements must be disclosed at the time of registration so appropriate support can be considered.
1.4 Perform North reserves the right to refuse or withdraw participation where it is deemed necessary for the safety, wellbeing or progression of the participant or wider group.
2. Fees & Payments
2.1 Weekly classes and regular training programmes are paid via monthly subscription unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2.2 Workshops, intensives, productions and holiday programmes may require full payment or deposit payment in advance.
2.3 All fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of Perform North.
2.4 Missed sessions due to illness, holidays or personal commitments are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
2.5 Failure to keep payments up to date may result in suspension from classes, rehearsals, performances or agency services.
2.6 Perform North reserves the right to amend fees with reasonable notice.
3. Attendance & Commitment
3.1 Regular attendance is expected across all training programmes to support both individual development and group progression.
3.2 Parents/guardians should notify Perform North of any absences as early as possible.
3.3 Students involved in productions, showcases, filming projects or performances are expected to attend all required rehearsals and performances.
3.4 Excessive absence or repeated lateness may affect casting, performance opportunities or continued participation.
3.5 Students enrolled in pre-professional training pathways are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment, professionalism and engagement.
3.6 Participants may be required to wear specified uniform, rehearsal clothing or footwear for classes, rehearsals, productions or performances.
4. Behaviour & Conduct
4.1 Perform North aims to provide a safe, supportive and professional environment for all young performers.
4.2 Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards staff, fellow students, venues and equipment at all times.
4.3 Bullying, disruptive behaviour, inappropriate language or unsafe conduct will not be tolerated.
4.4 Perform North reserves the right to remove any participant from a session, programme or project where behaviour is deemed unacceptable. Fees remain payable in these circumstances.
5. Health, Safety & Welfare
5.1 Perform North is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
5.2 All staff and creatives working with Perform North are appropriately DBS checked where required.
5.3 In the event of illness or injury, parents/guardians authorise Perform North staff to seek appropriate medical treatment if necessary.
5.4 Participation in physical activity is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
5.5 Parents/guardians must ensure emergency contact information remains accurate and up to date.
6. Productions, Projects & Performances
6.1 From time to time, participants may be invited to take part in performances, showcases, productions, filming projects or industry opportunities.
6.2 Additional rehearsals outside of normal training hours may be required.
6.3 Casting decisions are made solely by the Perform North creative team and all decisions are final.
6.4 Some productions may involve double casting or ensemble participation alongside principal roles.
6.5 Participation fees for productions or projects may apply and are non-refundable once a place has been accepted. Acceptance of a role or place within a production constitutes commitment to the full rehearsal and performance process, and associated participation fees remain payable regardless of withdrawal.
6.6 Failure to meet rehearsal attendance expectations may result in removal from performances or reassignment of roles.
6.7 Costumes, rehearsal clothing or uniform requirements may apply and parents will be informed of any associated expectations or costs in advance.
7. Pre-Professional Training Pathways
7.1 Perform North’s pre-professional programmes are designed for students seeking advanced, industry-focused training.
7.2 Due to the collaborative and structured nature of these programmes, students are expected to maintain strong attendance, punctuality and professional conduct.
7.3 Perform North reserves the right to review continued participation where commitment expectations are not met.
8. Talent Agency Representation
8.1 Agency representation or acceptance onto the agency roster does not guarantee auditions, castings or professional work.
8.2 Clients may be required to maintain up-to-date headshots, Spotlight profiles, CVs or self-tape materials.
8.3 Professional conduct and communication are expected from both clients and parents/guardians.
8.4 Perform North reserves the right to withdraw representation where appropriate.
9. Photography, Video & Media
9.1 Perform North may photograph or film sessions, rehearsals, performances, workshops or projects for promotional, educational or marketing purposes.
9.2 Media may be used across Perform North platforms including:
* Website
* Social media
* Printed materials
* Advertising campaigns
* Promotional trailers and video content
9.3 Parents/guardians are responsible for informing Perform North in writing of any photography or filming restrictions prior to participation
10. Personal Property
10.1 Participants are responsible for their own belongings.
10.2 Perform North accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen property.
10.3 We recommend valuables are not brought to sessions unless necessary.
11. Withdrawal & Cancellation
11.1 A minimum of four weeks’ written notice is required to withdraw from weekly classes or regular training programmes.
11.2 Subscription payments operate in arrears and final payments may still apply following notice.
11.3 No refunds will be given for partially attended terms, missed rehearsals or voluntary withdrawal from productions or projects.
11.4 Perform North reserves the right to cancel or reschedule sessions, classes, events or projects where necessary. Where possible, alternative arrangements will be offered.
12. Staffing & Scheduling
12.1 Perform North reserves the right to alter staffing, venues, timetables or programme structures where necessary.
12.2 All changes will be communicated with as much notice as reasonably possible.
13. Online Sessions & Digital Content
13.1 Some training may take place online or include access to digital materials and recorded content.
13.2 All digital resources are provided for personal training use only and must not be shared, recorded, copied or redistributed without permission.
14. Data Protection & Privacy
14.1 All personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
14.2 Parent and participant information will only be used for purposes relating to training, performances, safeguarding and communication.
14.3 Perform North will never sell or share personal information with third parties without consent unless required by law.
15. Liability
15.1 While every reasonable care is taken to ensure participant safety, Perform North cannot accept responsibility for injury, loss or damage except where caused by proven negligence.
15.2 Participation in all classes, rehearsals, performances and physical activity is undertaken at the participant’s own risk.
15.3 Force Majeure
Perform North shall not be held responsible for cancellations, delays or changes caused by circumstances outside of our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, illness, venue issues, government restrictions, licensing matters or technical failures.
16. Parent & Participant Conduct
Parents, guardians and participants are expected to communicate respectfully with staff and the wider Perform North community both in person and online.
Perform North reserves the right to withdraw services or participation where behaviour is considered abusive, threatening, defamatory or damaging to the organisation or its members.
Perform North reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most recent version will always be available via our website or upon request.
