Terms and Conditions for Participation

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Perform North and the parent(s)/guardian(s) of a young person participating in our performing arts classes, workshops, events or performances. By enrolling your child, you agree to the following terms.

1. Registration and Eligibility

1.1 Participants must be within the age range specified for each programme or activity.

1.2 Enrolment is subject to availability and confirmation by Perform North. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise agreed.

1.3 Any medical, behavioural, or additional needs must be disclosed during registration to help us provide appropriate support.


2. Fees and Payment

2.1 Full payment for workshops or holiday programmes are required in advance unless a payment plan has been arranged and agreed in writing.

2.2 Payment for classes or weekly training and singing lessons are made through monthly direct debit and run a month in arrears. 

2.2 Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of Perform North.

2.3 Missed sessions (due to illness, holidays, etc.) are non-refundable. We will do our best to offer an alternative class or session time but reserve the right to charge the full fee if it is not possible to rearrange at short notice. 

2.4 Perform North reserves the right to suspend participation if fees are not paid on time.


3. Attendance and Commitment

3.1 Regular attendance is important for both individual progress and group development. We ask that participants attend all scheduled sessions and notify us of any absences in advance.

3.2 Attendance at rehearsals is essential for those involved in performances. Failure to attend key rehearsals may result in exclusion from final performances.

3.3 A positive and respectful attitude is expected from all participants. Persistent disruptive behaviour may lead to removal from the programme.


4. Health, Safety, and Welfare

4.1 Perform North is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all young people.

4.2 You must inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies or special requirements before participation begins.

4.3 In the event of a medical emergency, you give consent for staff to take appropriate action, including seeking emergency medical treatment.

4.4 All Perform North staff and facilitators are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding.


5. Performances, Workshops and Events

5.1 From time to time, your child may be invited to take part in public or private performances, showcases, or events.

5.2 Additional rehearsals outside normal class hours may be required. We will provide as much notice as possible.

5.3 Costumes or performance attire may be required. Where applicable, parents will be given notice and guidance on any associated costs.


6. Media Consent

6.1 Perform North may take photographs or video footage during sessions or performances for use in promotional material, on our website and social media platforms.

6.2 If you do not wish your child to be photographed or filmed, you must notify us in writing at the time of registration.


7. Personal Property

7.1 Participants are responsible for their own belongings. Perform North cannot accept liability for any lost, stolen or damaged personal items.

7.2 We recommend that valuables are left at home.


8. Withdrawal and Cancellations

8.1 If you wish to withdraw your child from term-time classes, we require at least four weeks’ written noticeand your final payment will taken a month in arrears or an invoice will be sent for the required amount.

8.2 No refunds will be given for missed sessions or withdrawals part-way through a term.

8.3 Perform North reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes or events due to unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, alternative sessions will be offered.


9. Staffing and Scheduling

9.1 We reserve the right to alter class schedules, staff, or venues when necessary. All changes will be communicated to parents/guardians in advance wherever possible.

9.2 All staff delivering sessions are experienced and suitably qualified professionals in their field.


10. Data Protection and Privacy

10.1 All personal information is processed in line with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation and our privacy policy.

10.2 Your contact details will be used to communicate essential information about classes, rehearsals and performances. We will never share your data with third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
